The begining of SEFF'17 Selection Team works
Today in the morning (June 17th 2017) Polish-German Selection Team at SEFF'17 has started their tedious work over the selection of the best films submitted for the European Competition. The selection results you will see between 19th and 23rd October at SEFF'17. The selection team this year includes: Jörg Foth, Bartosz Wójcik, PhD and Damian Romaniak, PhD. We invite all of you who would like to fish for youthful, creative cinema!
FiSH - a festival of young German film circle, which is taking place between May 11th and 14th 2017 in Rostock. It is aimed at young generations of filmmakers as all the films are created by the people between the ages of 6 and 26. The centre of the festival is Junger Deutscher Film competition, but there are another events in the program as well: SehSterne, PopFiSH and MeKo-Preis.

The Award of the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship at SEFF'17
Another award for the winner of this year's edition of Szczecin European Film Festival in the amount of 10 000 PLN has been given by the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Mr Olgierd Geblewicz. Thank you very much Western Pomerania. Who is going to receive it? We will find it out in October during the autumn screenings of SEFF'17.

Ex Oriente Film is an international workshop focused on the in depth development and funding of creative documentary films from the CEE region. During three week-long workshops and online sessions held over the next nine months, producers and directors gain assistance and advice from leading filmmakers and experts in the development of ideas, production, and distribution strategy for their upcoming documentaries.

We are now open for submissions to Szczecin European Film Festival '17. Filmmakers can submit their works to four competition categories:
The European Competition for documentary films, the main goal of which is seeking out productions that broaden the concept of documentary cinema and break its stereotypical image. Deadline: 16.06.2017.
TELEFON ART, an international competition for films made with mobile phones or other handheld devices capable of recording video and audio. The topics and techniques are unlimited, the films can be documentaries, features, reportages, animations, video art. Deadline: 08.05.2017.
