SEFF'17 Opening Ceremony

The Szczecin European Film Festival Opening Ceremony will traditionally be taking place at the TVP3 Szczecin studio. The programme includes a meeting with the Jury members and the European Competition participants, and a Polish première screening of Mara Lin Visser’s famous ethnographical film “Unity: Dress-scapes of Accra,” about African fashion in the capital of Ghana. Th e screening will be accompanied by a meeting with the author. The ceremony will be hosted by known Szczecin journalist, poet and literary critic Konrad Wojtyła.

Born in 1979. Poet, journalist and literary critic. Host, initiator, and moderator of numerous discussions, panels, and debates with the most important representatives of cultural life in Poland. Vice-president of the Sławomir Mrożek Foundation. Publicist of Radio Szczecin. In 2015 he was named “Journalist of the Year” of Western Pomerania. Has released several books, the most recent of which is “Znak za pytaniem” (Poznań 2017). He has published in many magazines both in Poland and abroad. His works have been translated into several languages. Juror of the Gryfia Literary Award.
 

The Partner of the Opening Ceremony is Szczecińska Energetyka Cieplna, West Pomerania's leading distributor of heat and electrical power vendor. Together with heating companies from Barlinek, Dębno, Łobez, Myślibórz, Połczyn-Zdrój, Słubice and Strzelec Krajeńskich, they create the SEC group.
