Screening films in formats other than the ones listed above needs to be individually discussed with the organiser.
Preferred formats: DCP, for digital files: h.264.
For DCP, please submit the films on a USB drive.
When screening via DIGITAL BETACAM and BETACAM SP, a composite signal will be transmitted into a HD upscaler and through a HDMI connector.
Please DO NOT SUBMIT films in 16:9 letterbox format.
Multichannel sound will be played for DCP and 35mm formats. Other formats allow only for two- and single-channel sound.
Please ensure that the technical parameters of the submitted festival copy are consistent with the parameters listed in the entry form.
The festival copy must include ONLY the film qualified for the competition.
All the festival copies must include English subtitles (unless the film is originally in English).
By the submission of my film I agree to the festival regulations and the following:
I agree for excerpts from the film to be used for publicity purposes. Should my film not be selected for the competition, I will gladly see it as part of the Festival's Special Programmes (if the organisers decide so).
This also means that a member of the film team is prepared to attend the film screening, and to take part in discussions at the festival. The SEFF prizes are awarded to the directors of the films! The films nominated for the festival programme can be shown at regional screenings. I hereby declare that my film is free of third parties' rights. Entering a film is synonymous with the acceptance of SEFF 2014's regulations.
